Looking for a job? Need help while considering a career change? Making career choices and finding job opportunities require good information. The Job and Career Information Center includes materials on job hunting, resume writing, interviewing techniques, career planning and occupations as well as coaching, programs, appointments with Job and Career Coaches and specialized assistance for formerly incarcerated people.
The Center
Visit the Job & Career Information Center to explore a variety of job and career related topics, including career planning and exploration, job searching, interviewing, and resume writing. In the Department, you have access to a variety of databases for job and career exploration, test preparation, educational information both from home and in the library. Computers are available by reservation for two hours at a time to perform job related activities.

Career Connection Program
The Career Connection Program is an employment program for formerly incarcerated people over the age of 18 who have been released for 3-9 months. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

PRATTpreneur is a six-week summer cohort from July 7, 2025 - August 15, 2025 for students between the ages of 14-16. Students will work together in a tech-driven program to build a company that is revenue-generating. Participants will establish a company structure and learn how to cohesively build a company based on human psychology, talents, ability, foresight, knowledge, and need. In addition, participants will create a business plan, develop a business model, formulate a marketing and branding strategy, and launch it in real time. At the end of the session, participants will pitch their project to a consortium of potential funders to obtain funds/capital for their company in order to sustain it long-term.

The Women In Workforce Luncheon is an informative and engaging annual gathering. Each year, we honor 5-8 spectacular women in our community who are professionals in Human Resources, Human Services, and Workforce Development. Lunch, conversation, and networking is followed by a panel discussion on topics such as hiring trends and closing the pay gap for women with the opportunity to ask questions and interact directly with recruiters and hiring professionals.

The Just Getting Started Program is a 5-day intensive program for individuals between the ages of 18-25 with a high school diploma, GED, or undergraduate degree looking for a career in specific industries. Just Getting Started provides workforce development, soft skills training, customer service, and an introduction into a specific industry field of choice. On the final day of the program, successful participants will be hired on the spot by employers who partner with us through our Pratt Employer Partnership Alliance (PEPA). In addition, each participant will receive a small stipend for program completion.
