Clarence Felder
Chief, Facilities ManagementChief of Facilities Management Clarence Felder joined the Pratt in February 2022. In this capacity, he oversees the Library's Security, Maintenance, Shipping, Custodial, and Construction departments. Under his purview, these departments are responsible for the improvement and maintenance of Pratt locations, coordination and execution of major capital projects, safety of all Pratt locations, Pratt Library vehicles, and the transportation of materials to and from Library buildings, among other responsibilities.
Prior to his position at the Pratt, Clarence was the Chief of Public Schools and Community Colleges in the Maryland Department of General Services. A self-described "fix-it man", Clarence has built a reputation of raising morale, implementing processes to streamline high-quality work, and introducing state-of-the-art construction and design development. He looks forward to using new and existing tools to elevate Pratt facilities and create Library spaces that are above and beyond conventional expectations.
Clarence holds a Bachelors degree in Vocational Education from the City College of New York.
