The library system will close March 1 to 6 for staff training. Customers will be allowed into the buildings starting March 8 on a first come, first served basis for limited browsing and computer access during the following hours:

Monday: 10 am – 5 pm

Tuesday: 12 pm – 7 pm

Wednesday: 10 am – 5 pm

Thursday: 12 pm – 7 pm

Friday: 10 am – 5 pm

Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm

“We are excited to welcome customers back into our buildings,” says Pratt Library President & CEO Heidi Daniel. “We know the people of Baltimore depend on the wide variety of services the Pratt provides. We will continue working with the Baltimore City Health Department monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and follow their guidance.”

Customers entering Pratt buildings will be required to properly wear a mask or face covering. They’ll undergo a health screening and temperature check. Customers will also be asked to sign in with their name and contact information for contact tracking purposes. Customers will notice enhanced safety protocols including plastic shielding at service points and social distancing markers. Some areas of library buildings may be restricted to staff only. Computer use will be limited to two hours, and seating areas will be closed off. Sidewalk Service will remain available to customers by request.

All Pratt locations will open except the Hampden Branch, which remains under renovation. Hampden is expected to reopen in the late spring.
