Johnston Square Branch Construction
A new branch of the Pratt Library serving the Johnston Square neighborhood is expected to begin construction in Summer 2024 as part of a new mixed-use building.
The new Johnston Square Branch is anticipated to begin construction Summer 2024 and last approximately 14 months. The new building, part of the Johnston Square Vision Plan, at 100 Greenmount Avenue is a 109-unit, mixed-income multifamily building that will house families with incomes between 30% and 80% of Area Median Income and will include a new branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library on the ground floor. The Johnston Square Vision Plan, created by neighborhood residents and stakeholders, provides a roadmap for equitable neighborhood reinvestment.
The new building, pictured below in architectural renderings, will include:

- A dynamic and responsive collection
- Public access computer spaces and WiFi
More details about the project will be announced in the future, so check back for updates.
